Add the connector
In Claude, add Apify as a custom connector with the address https://mcp.apify.com/. In ChatGPT, turn on Developer mode, then create a connector under Settings, Apps & Connectors with the same address (Apify lists this route as beta).

Sign in to Apify
The first time, a browser window opens. Sign in with your Apify account and approve access.

Name the tool, say what to look for and what you want back. Your AI runs it and reads the rows. Every tool page here has a prompt ready to copy, like the one below.

Use the arXiv Scraper (dami_studio/arxiv-scraper) to search arXiv for "all:large language models", and return one row per paper: id, title, full abstract, authors, categories, both dates, DOI, abstract and PDF links.

Other AI apps

Any app that supports MCP connectors can use the same address. Apify's own guides cover the setup: the MCP server and ChatGPT.

Some apps ask for a server address instead. Add ?tools= and a tool's Apify name to load only that tool. Several names can go in one address, separated by commas. For example:
