Inputs

FieldWhat it doesType
trendTypesHashtag is supported from TikTok's anonymous public Creative Center page. Video, creator, song, and ad requests are probed only through documented availability checks and never charged when public data is unavailable.array
industryIdsOptional local filter. TikTok returns industry IDs with public hashtag results; only matching returned hashtags are kept. Use IDs such as 11000000000 or 23000000000 exactly as exposed by Creative Center.array
regionISO country code. Hashtag rankings currently support US, FR, DE, IT, ES, GB, AR, AU, BR, CA, CO, EG, ID, IL, JP, KR, MY, MX, PH, SA, SG, ZA, TW, TH, TR, AE, and VN.string
periodDaysCreative Center comparison period in days.integer
maxResultsAnonymous public Creative Center currently exposes up to three hashtag rankings. Higher values do not cause login-gated paging.integer
requestTimeoutSecsMaximum time for the Creative Center page request.integer
sessionCookiesOptional. Runs read the public Creative Center page without an account. Supply your own TikTok account cookie, and the run uses it where an account is needed. In Chrome: F12 -> Application -> Cookies -> tiktok.com, and copy the value of sessionid. This does not unlock the trend types listed as unavailable. Anyone with this value can act as your account, so treat it like a password.array

TikTok Trending Hashtags: the Creative Center ranking for a country, as data

Pick a country and a 7 or 30 day window and you get TikTok's own hashtag ranking back as rows: the rank, the post count, the view count, the industries TikTok files the tag under, the day by day popularity curve behind the ranking, and the creators driving it. This is TikTok's published trend data, not a guess assembled from scraped videos.

Read this before you run it: the public Creative Center page exposes three ranked hashtags. Not thirty, not a hundred. Three. Everything past that sits behind a Creative Center login and a bigger maxResults does not reach it. Three is still the top of a country's ranking, and running it across 27 countries or on a schedule builds a real series, but if you came for a full leaderboard export this is not it.

InputA country and a 7 or 30 day window
OutputOne row per ranked hashtag
Ceiling3 hashtags per run
Account neededNone from you
Price$0.008 per hashtag row, flat on every plan

🔍 What TikTok Trending Hashtags does

It reads the Creative Center trends page for the region and period you chose and turns each ranked tag into a flat row. No login, no key.

The other four rankings on that site, video, creator, song and ad, are not on the anonymous page. Ask for one and you get a row saying PUBLIC_SOURCE_UNAVAILABLE, free of charge. Nothing is invented and hashtags are not quietly returned in their place.

industryIds filters what came back rather than fetching more, so it narrows the three results. When none of them matches you get a NO_MATCHING_INDUSTRY row instead of silence.

📥 What you give it

{
  "trendTypes": ["hashtag"],
  "region": "US",
  "periodDays": 7,
  "maxResults": 3
}
FieldDefaultWhat it is
trendTypes["hashtag"]Hashtag is the one the public page serves. The others return an uncharged row explaining why.
regionUSOne of US, FR, DE, IT, ES, GB, AR, AU, BR, CA, CO, EG, ID, IL, JP, KR, MY, MX, PH, SA, SG, ZA, TW, TH, TR, AE, VN.
periodDays7Only 7 and 30 are real windows. Anything else is treated as 7.
maxResults31 to 3. Three is what the page has to give.
industryIdsnoneOptional. Keeps only the returned tags filed under these ids, such as 11000000000. Use the ids Creative Center itself shows.
requestTimeoutSecs25How long to wait for the page, 8 to 60 seconds.
sessionCookiesnoneOptional. Your own TikTok sessionid, used only if the page comes back refusing. It does not reach the trend types listed as unavailable. Use a throwaway account: the value sits in the run input, which anyone who can open the run can read.
proxyConfigurationoffLeave it off. It exists for people routing through their own servers, and it does not reach anything behind the login either.

📤 What you get back

A real row from a real run, with the curve and the creator list cut short:

{
  "ok": true,

  "region": "US",
  "periodDays": 7,

  "fetchedAt": "2026-09-14T05:47:10.925Z"
}
FieldWhat it is
rankWhere the tag sits in the ranking for that region and window.
hashtag, hashtagIdThe tag with its #, and TikTok's id for it.
posts, viewsReal totals, not an index.
industryIdsThe industries TikTok files the tag under. Often an empty array.
popularityCurveOne point per day in the window: 7 points on a 7 day run, 30 on a 30 day one. The value is TikTok's normalised index from 0 to 100, so the peak day is always 100 rather than a post count.
topCreatorsTikTok's own shortlist for the tag: rank, handle, display name, followers, country and picture.
region, periodDays, sourceUrl, fetchedAtWhat you asked for, the page it came from, and when it was read.

🧾 Reading the output

Two kinds of row land in your dataset.

RowHow to spot itBilled
A ranked hashtagok: true and a rankyes
A diagnosticok: false and an errorCodeno

The Overview table shows errorCode, so a diagnostic is readable without opening the row. The ones you are most likely to meet:

CodeWhat happened
PUBLIC_SOURCE_UNAVAILABLEYou asked for video, creator, song or ad trends. Those need a Creative Center login.
UNSUPPORTED_REGIONThe country is not one of the 27 with a public ranking.
NO_MATCHING_INDUSTRYYour industryIds filter matched none of the tags that came back.
PUBLIC_SOURCE_BLOCKED, PUBLIC_SOURCE_HTTP_ERRORThe page would not answer this run. Try again shortly.
REQUEST_TIMEOUTThe page took longer than requestTimeoutSecs.
NO_PUBLIC_TREND_DATA, PUBLIC_SOURCE_PARSE_ERRORThe page answered but had no ranking in it.

None of them is charged.

▶️ How to run it

1. Open TikTok Trending Hashtags and click Try for free. 2. Pick a country in Region and set Time period to 7 or 30. 3. Click Start. The defaults return the current top three for the United States over 7 days. 4. Download the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull it from the Apify API.

💰 How much does it cost?

$0.008 per hashtag row. Flat on every Apify plan, no volume tiers. A full run of three is $0.024.

You pay for ranked rows. Diagnostic rows are not charged, so an unavailable trend type, an unsupported country or a page that would not answer costs nothing.

💡 What people use it for

  • Running the same country every morning on a schedule and keeping a series of what reached the top.
  • Sweeping all 27 countries in one sitting to see which tags travel and which stay local.
  • Checking a tag's curve before building a campaign on it, since a tag at 100 today may have peaked.
  • Finding smaller creators early: topCreators often lists accounts in the tens of thousands, not

the millions.

🚧 What it does not do

  • Three hashtags per run. That is what the public page holds.
  • No video, creator, song or ad rankings. They need a Creative Center login, and you get a row

saying so rather than a quiet substitution.

  • No history. You get the window you asked for, as it stands now. Build a series by running it

on a schedule.

  • Rankings move on TikTok's clock. Running the same country twice within the hour usually

returns the same three tags.

  • topCreators is a shortlist, not everyone posting under the tag.
  • A number TikTok leaves out reads as 0, so treat a zero view count as "not published" rather

than as none.

  • The curve is an index, not volume. The peak day is 100 by construction.

❓ Questions people ask

Why only three hashtags? That is all the Creative Center page shows a signed-out visitor. A higher maxResults does not change it, and neither does anything else in the input.

Can I get more by supplying my own cookie? No. The cookie field helps when the page refuses a run, not with the rows behind the login.

What does a value of 100 in the curve mean? It is the busiest day of the window. The curve is scaled to it, so 50 means half the peak day, not fifty posts.

Does industryIds fetch more results? No. It filters the tags that came back, which can leave you with fewer than three, or with a NO_MATCHING_INDUSTRY row.

Is this legal to use? It reads a public page of TikTok's own published rankings. The creator handles in topCreators are personal data, which GDPR and similar laws cover, so have a reason for keeping them. Apify's write-up on the legality of web scraping is a good starting point, and we are not lawyers.

🆘 If something breaks

Open the Issues tab on the actor page. Include the region and period you used and the run ID, and the log is usually enough for us to see what happened.
