Pricing
$0.00085 per supplier = $0.85 per 1,000
| You are charged for | When | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Supplier returned | Charged once per genuine Thomasnet supplier row: company name, description, company type, street/city/state/ZIP, coordinates, phone, website, year founded, employee count, annual sales, certifications, matched category and the Thomasnet profile URL. Sample rows, diagnostics, suppliers dropped by the location filter and empty runs are never charged. | $0.00085 |
Pay-per-event pricing: you are billed per result, not per subscription. Billing is handled by Apify on your own account. These are the live Apify store prices, in effect since 2026-08-07, and they are what you are actually charged.
Inputs
| Field | What it does | Type |
|---|---|---|
search | What the supplier makes or does, the way you would type it into Thomasnet's own search box: "valves", "cnc machining", "injection molding", "steel fabrication". Broad terms return more suppliers than very specific ones. | string |
location | US state ("Texas"), a city with its state ("Houston, TX"), or a 5-digit ZIP code ("77002"). A ZIP uses Thomasnet's radius filter and fills in distanceMiles; a state or city narrows to the Thomas region and then keeps only suppliers whose address is actually there. A place Thomasnet does not recognise stops the run before any search, so nothing is charged. Leave empty to search the whole USA. | string |
maxItems | Hard cap on rows returned (1-5000). You are charged per supplier returned; rows dropped by the location filter and diagnostic rows are free. | integer |
radiusMiles | Search radius around a ZIP code. Ignored unless "Location" is a 5-digit ZIP. | integer |
maxCategories | Thomasnet files suppliers under categories. Your search term is matched to the closest ones and each is paged in turn. 1 keeps results tightly on-topic; raise it to fill a large maxItems from related categories. | integer |
includeCertifications | Return each supplier's quality, diversity and compliance certifications (ISO 9001, AS9100, ITAR, Woman Owned, and so on). Turning this off makes each page slightly smaller. | boolean |

Thomasnet Suppliers Scraper: US industrial suppliers with phone, size and certifications
Thomasnet is where American industrial buyers go to find who actually makes a part. Type what you need the way you would type it into their search box, add a state, city or ZIP if you want it local, and get supplier companies back as rows: address, phone, website, year founded, headcount, annual sales and their ISO and AS9100 certifications.
There are no email addresses in here. Thomasnet does not publish them, so no row has one. You get the phone number and the website and you enrich from there.
| Input | A product or service, plus an optional US location |
| Output | One row per supplier company |
| Ceiling | 5,000 suppliers per run |
| Account needed | None |
| Price | $0.85 per 1,000 suppliers, flat on every plan |
🔍 What Thomasnet Suppliers Scraper does
Thomasnet files suppliers under categories. Your search term is matched to the closest ones and each is paged in turn, which is how a run gets past the handful of rows a plain text search will give you. maxCategories controls how many it walks: leave it at 1 to stay tightly on topic, raise it when you want a big maxItems filled from neighbouring categories too.
Location works two different ways, and the difference matters. A 5-digit ZIP goes through Thomasnet's own radius filter, so the results really are inside the radius and every row carries distanceMiles. A state or a city goes through Thomasnet's regional index instead, and that index means "serves this region" rather than "is based here". So the run then drops any supplier whose address is outside the state, and outside the city when you named one. Dropped rows are not charged, and the run's status message says how many went.
📥 What you give it
{
"search": "cnc machining",
"location": "77002",
"radiusMiles": 75,
"maxItems": 100,
"maxCategories": 3
}
| Field | Default | What it is |
|---|---|---|
search | none | The product or service. Broad beats narrow: valves returns far more than 3-inch bronze gate valves. The box starts with valves in it, which is a suggestion and not a default. |
location | none | A US state like Texas, a city with its state like Houston, TX, or a 5-digit ZIP like 77002. Leave it empty for the whole country. A place Thomasnet cannot find stops the run before any search. |
radiusMiles | 50 | Miles around a ZIP, 5 to 500. Ignored unless location is a ZIP. |
maxCategories | 3 | How many Thomasnet categories to walk, 1 to 10. |
maxItems | 100 | Hard cap on rows, up to 5,000. |
includeCertifications | true | Return each supplier's quality, diversity and compliance certifications. |
proxyConfiguration | none | Optional. Leave it alone unless you need the run to go out through a particular network. Your own servers are used exactly as given. |
Run it with no search and you get one labelled sample row, so you can see the shape first.

The certification list above is cut short; the real row carries three.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
tgramsId | Thomasnet's own company id. Stable, so use it as your dedupe key. |
description | Thomasnet's supplier blurb, which is usually a dense paragraph of what they make, the materials and the industries served. The most useful free-text field on the row. |
companyType | Manufacturer, Distributor, Custom Manufacturer, Service Company and so on. otherActivities holds the extra hats they wear. |
numberEmployees, annualSales | Bands as Thomasnet publishes them, like 10-49 and $5 - 9.9 Mil, not numbers. |
certificationTitles | A plain list, easy to filter on. certifications is the same list with the type, group, audit scope and certificate date. |
distanceMiles | Only filled in on ZIP searches. null everywhere else. |
thomasVerified, isClaimed | Whether Thomasnet has verified the listing and whether the company has claimed its profile. |
yearFounded, phone, website | Present on most rows but not all. A blank means Thomasnet does not publish it for that company. |
🧾 Reading the output
| Row | How to spot it | Charged |
|---|---|---|
| A supplier | It has a companyName and no ok field | yes |
| The sample row | _sample: true and charged: false | no |
| A diagnostic | _diagnostic: true and an errorCode | no |
Do not filter on ok: true. Only the sample and diagnostic rows carry ok at all, so that filter keeps exactly the rows you do not want and drops every supplier. Filter on _sample and _diagnostic being absent instead.
errorCode | What it means |
|---|---|
LOCATION_NOT_FOUND | That place could not be resolved. The run stops before searching, so nothing is charged. Use a state, a City, ST pair or a ZIP. |
NO_RESULTS | The search ran and matched nothing. Try a broader term. |
AUTH_WALL | Thomasnet asked for an account for that request. |
BLOCKED | Thomasnet turned the request down. Try again in a few minutes. |
API_ERROR, BAD_RESPONSE | Thomasnet answered with something that could not be read. |
HTTP_ERROR, NETWORK_ERROR | The request did not complete. Re-run it. |
▶️ How to run it
1. Open Thomasnet Suppliers Scraper and click Try for free. 2. Type what you need into Product, service or category. 3. Add a Location if you want it local. A ZIP gives you a real radius; a state or city gives you companies based there. 4. Set Maximum suppliers, then click Start. 5. Download the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it from the Apify API.
💰 How much does it cost?
$0.85 per 1,000 suppliers. Flat on every Apify plan, no volume tiers.
You pay per supplier row. Suppliers dropped by the location filter are not charged, the sample row is not charged, and diagnostic rows are not charged. Turning certifications off does not change the price, it just makes each row smaller.
💡 What people use it for
- Building a shortlist of manufacturers for a part, with headcount and sales band already on the row
so you can skip the ones too small or too big for the job.
- Finding certified suppliers only: filter
certificationTitlesforAS9100for aerospace, `ISO
13485 for medical, ITAR` for defence work.
- Supplier diversity programmes, using the
DIVERSITYentries incertificationsrather than
guessing from company names.
- Mapping who makes a thing within driving distance of a plant, with a ZIP and a radius, then using
latitude and longitude to plot it.
- Reshoring research: comparing how many US suppliers a category actually holds before committing to
a sourcing plan.
🚧 What it does not do
- No email addresses. Thomasnet does not publish them.
- North America only, and overwhelmingly the US. That is Thomasnet's coverage, not a setting.
- Company-level data only. No product catalogues, no CAD files, no pricing and no RFQ
submission.
- A term with no matching category stops at 25 rows. Thomasnet lets a signed-out plain-text
search go that far and no further. Most real product terms do match a category and page into the hundreds. If you asked for 200 rows of an unusual phrase and got 25, that is why.
- Row counts are what Thomasnet lists. Setting
maxItemsto 500 does not invent suppliers that
are not in the category, and a category can also stop early. A count that looks short is worth re-running before you conclude it is the whole market.
numberEmployeesandannualSalesare bands, not figures, and they are self-reported to
Thomasnet.
- A city or state search filters on the company's address. A supplier who serves your state from
the next one over is dropped, which is usually what you want and occasionally is not.
- Nothing smaller than a state, except a city. A region name such as
California - Northern
searches all of California. A city typed without its state takes the first match Thomasnet suggests (Springfield came back as Springfield, MO), so add the state.

❓ Questions people ask
Do I need a Thomasnet account? No. Everything here is on public supplier pages.
Can I get supplier email addresses? No, because Thomasnet does not publish them. The phone number and website are on every row that has them.
Why did I only get 25 rows? Your term did not match a Thomasnet category, so the search fell back to plain text, which stops at 25. A broader term usually fixes it.
What is the difference between a ZIP search and a city search? A ZIP uses Thomasnet's radius and fills in distanceMiles. A city or state filters on the company's own address afterwards.
Do certifications come with dates? The ones Thomasnet publishes dates for, yes, in the certifications array along with the audit scope.
Is scraping Thomasnet legal? These are public business listings. Check Thomasnet's terms and your own local rules before using the output commercially. Apify's write-up on scraping and the law is a good starting point, and we are not lawyers.
🆘 If something breaks
Open the Issues tab on the actor page. Send the search term, the location and the run ID. If you got a diagnostic row, its errorCode and hint usually name the problem on their own.
