Pricing
$0.000025 per result = $0.025 per 1,000
| You are charged for | When | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Result | One row: a trading partner, a bill of lading, a company profile or a search hit. | $0.000025 |
| ImportYeti profile opened | Charged once per company or supplier page that actually returned data. Blocked, missing and empty pages are free. | $0.0005 |
Pay-per-event pricing: you are billed per result, not per subscription. Billing is handled by Apify on your own account. These are the live Apify store prices, in effect since 2026-08-07, and they are what you are actually charged.
Inputs
| Field | What it does | Type |
|---|---|---|
searchQueries | What to look up on ImportYeti. A brand or importer name ("Nike", "Home Depot"), a supplier name, or a product ("solar panels", "lithium battery"). One per line. | array |
searchFor | Which kind of ImportYeti page your search terms should find. Importers are the US companies receiving the goods; suppliers are the factories and shippers abroad sending them. ImportYeti narrows the search itself. Links pasted into ImportYeti URLs are read as they are, whatever this says. | string |
startUrls | Optional. Paste ImportYeti company pages (https://www.importyeti.com/company/nike), supplier pages (https://www.importyeti.com/supplier/apl-logistics-vietnam) or search pages (https://www.importyeti.com/search?q=nike). Works alongside the search terms above. | array |
resultType | Trading partners = one row per supplier/buyer relationship (about 45 per company). Shipments = one row per bill of lading, with dates and BOL numbers. Company profiles = one wide row per company with the partner list, ports and HS codes nested. Search results = just the matching companies, no profile pages opened. | string |
maxItems | Hard cap on rows returned across the whole run. You are charged per row returned; failed and skipped profiles are never charged. | integer |
maxProfilesPerQuery | ImportYeti returns many name variants for one brand (Nike, Nike Usa, Nike Canada...). This is how many of them to actually open. Ignored when "What each row should be" is set to search results. | integer |
includeUnnamedPartners | US customs manifests are sometimes filed with the counterparty blank, and ImportYeti shows those as "Missing in source document". Off by default so you are not charged for trading-partner rows with no name. Shipment rows are always kept: a bill of lading with a blank shipper still has its own number, date and goods. | boolean |

ImportYeti Scraper: US customs import records, who buys from whom and what they ship
Give it a brand, a factory name or a product, and you get the trade relationships behind it: who ships to whom, how many shipments, the goods, the HS code, the ports at each end, and the first and last shipment dates. No ImportYeti account, nothing to install.
Read this before you budget a run. It is US sea freight only, and only as much history as ImportYeti's own page shows. Air, rail, trucking and outbound shipments are not in the source at all, and a company page lists its largest partner relationships and most recent bills of lading rather than everything ever filed.
| Input | Company, supplier or product terms, or ImportYeti company, supplier and search URLs |
| Output | One row per trading partner, bill of lading, company profile or search match |
| Ceiling | 20,000 rows per run, and up to 50 company pages per search term |
| Account needed | None, and nothing to install |
| Price | $0.025 per 1,000 rows, plus $0.0005 for each company page opened |
🏷️ What ImportYeti Scraper does
US inward vessel manifests name the importer and the shipper, and are disclosable unless the importer has filed to keep them confidential. ImportYeti indexes those records. This reads them back out as rows.
resultType decides what a row is, and it is the setting that changes everything else:
| Mode | One row is | Rows per company |
|---|---|---|
partners | one supplier or buyer relationship | usually 30 to 50 |
shipments | one bill of lading, with dates and BOL numbers | up to 100 |
profiles | one wide row per company, partners and lanes nested inside | 1 |
search | one match from ImportYeti's index, no company page opened | varies |
A company page runs the table one way and a supplier page runs it the other, so counterpartRole comes back as supplier when you start from a buyer, and buyer when you start from a factory.
Big importers file under several names. maxProfilesPerQuery is how many of those name variants actually get opened, and raising it is how you widen the partner list for one brand.
📥 What you give it
{
"searchQueries": ["solar panels"],
"startUrls": ["https://www.importyeti.com/company/nike-usa"],
"resultType": "partners",
"maxItems": 200,
"maxProfilesPerQuery": 3
}
| Field | Default | What it is |
|---|---|---|
searchQueries | box starts at solar panels | A brand, an importer name, a supplier name or a product. One per line. |
searchFor | any | Which kind of page the terms find: any for both, company for US importers only, supplier for the factories and shippers abroad. ImportYeti narrows the search itself. Pasted links are read as they are. |
startUrls | none | ImportYeti company, supplier or search pages pasted from the site. Works alongside the terms above. |
resultType | partners | What a row should be. Also shipments, profiles, and search for matches only. |
maxProfilesPerQuery | 3 | How many company pages to open per search term, up to 50. Ignored in search mode. |
maxItems | box starts at 200 | Total rows for the whole run, up to 20,000. |
includeUnnamedPartners | off | Manifests are sometimes filed with the counterparty blank. Off means those trading-partner rows are skipped, so you are not charged for a row with no name on it. Shipment rows are always kept, because the bill of lading still has its number, date and goods. |
proxyConfiguration | leave it alone | Optional, under Advanced. Only if you want the run to go out through a particular network of your own. |

}
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
hsCode / hsCodes | The Harmonized System code that counterparty declares most, and the other codes on the relationship. 8541.43 is solar cells, 6402.99 is footwear. |
originPort, destinationPort | The busiest lane on that company leaving the counterparty's country. ImportYeti publishes lanes per company, not per shipment. null when it lists no lane out of that country, rather than a guess. |
weightKg, teu | Total across the relationship, not per shipment. |
isRelatedParty | Whether the two sides are declared as related, which usually means a subsidiary or an in-house factory. |
counterpartTopBuyers | Who else that counterparty ships to, with shipment counts. |
databaseUpdated | The date ImportYeti prints for its own data refresh. |
shipments rows add shipmentDate, billOfLading, masterBillOfLading, houseBillOfLading, billTypeCode, quantity, quantityUnit, containers, declaredValueUsd, estimatedShippingCostUsd and shippingRoute. profiles rows add alsoKnownAs, website, email, phone, tradingPartnerCount, topCountries, and nested tradeLanes, tradingPartners and recentShipments.
🧾 Reading the output
| Row | How to spot it | Billed |
|---|---|---|
| A result | It has a rowType, and no ok or charged key | yes |
| The sample row | _sample: true and charged: false | no |
| A diagnostic | _diagnostic: true, charged: false and an errorCode | no |
Result rows carry no charged field at all. The flag is only on the sample and diagnostic rows, to mark them as not real results.
| Code | What it means |
|---|---|
BAD_URL | A pasted link that is not an ImportYeti company, supplier or search page. |
BAD_INPUT | A searchFor value that is not any, company or supplier. Nothing is searched. |
NO_RESULTS | ImportYeti's index matched nothing for that term. |
NO_ROWS | The company has a page and shipment totals, but no itemised table on it. |
NOT_FOUND | ImportYeti has no page at that address. |
RATE_LIMITED | ImportYeti throttled the page and would not serve the data. |
SEARCH_BLOCKED, SEARCH_BAD_BODY, SEARCH_FAILED | The search step did not come back usable. |
PROFILE_FAILED | A company page failed for a reason none of the above covers. |
▶️ How to run it
1. Open ImportYeti Scraper and click Try for free. 2. Type a brand, factory or product into Company or product terms, or paste ImportYeti links into ImportYeti URLs. 3. Pick What each row should be. Start on Trading partners. 4. Set Maximum rows and Profiles to open per search term. Start small, around 50 rows. 5. Click Start, then download the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it from the Apify API.
💰 How much does it cost?
$0.025 per 1,000 rows, plus $0.0005 for each company page opened. Flat on every Apify plan.
Two prices because the two things are not alike. One company page can produce 45 partner rows, and pricing all of it per row would charge you more for the same work. Nothing is billed for the sample row, for diagnostic rows, for a page ImportYeti would not serve, or for a 404.
💡 What people use it for
- Finding who actually manufactures for a brand, then pulling that factory's other customers out of
counterpartTopBuyers.
- Supplier due diligence, using
firstShipmentDate,lastShipmentDateandshipmentsLast12Months
to see whether a relationship is live or historic.
- Lead lists of US importers in a product category, by searching the product rather than a company.
- Checking a competitor's sourcing country mix and port lanes before committing to your own.
- Watching
shipmentsmode on a schedule and diffing onbillOfLadingfor new arrivals.
🚧 What it does not do
- Sea freight into the US only. No air, no rail, no trucking, no exports.
- Partners and recent bills of lading, not full history. A company with hundreds of thousands
of shipments on record still shows its largest relationships and its most recent bills.
- Ports are per lane, not per shipment.
nullmeans ImportYeti lists no lane out of that
country, which is more useful than a guessed port.
- Email and phone are usually withheld. ImportYeti masks them, so those fields are filled only
on the pages that show them, which is not often.
- Names come as filed. Manifests are typed by hand, so
Wal MartandNike Usaare what you
get. Match on counterpartUrl, not on the name.
partners,shipmentsandprofileswrite at the end. Every company page is read first and
the rows arrive together, so a run that hits its timeout delivers nothing. Keep maxItems sensible and run several times rather than once, very large.
- Throughput has a ceiling. ImportYeti limits how many company pages one visitor can open in a
short window, so a very large run can come back short. Pages it would not serve become uncharged RATE_LIMITED rows.

❓ Questions people ask
How do I find a brand's suppliers? Put the brand in Company or product terms and leave the mode on Trading partners. Every row is one supplier, with country, shipment count, HS code and its own ImportYeti page.
How do I find a factory's customers? Paste a supplier URL into ImportYeti URLs, or type the factory's name into Company or product terms and set Search for to Foreign suppliers only. The table runs the other way and counterpartRole comes back as buyer.
Do I need an ImportYeti account? No. This reads public pages and nothing behind a login.
Why did I only get 45 suppliers for a big importer? That is the length of the table on that page. Raise Profiles to open per search term, because large importers file under several names and each name has its own page and its own table.
Which mode is cheapest? search, because it never opens a company page. It gives you the matching companies and their URLs, which you can then feed back in.
Is this legal? The underlying records are US customs data published by the government, and this reads pages ImportYeti serves publicly. Apify's write-up on scraping and the law is a good starting point, and we are not lawyers.
🆘 If something breaks
Open the Issues tab on the actor page. Send the term or URL you used and the run ID. The errorCode on the diagnostic row usually names the problem on its own.
